Outcomes

Sigmund Freud linked many behavioural traits to childhood experiences.  Although I am not a Freudian I tend to agree with this philosophy and in my approach to therapy, I ask clients to use the past as a learning resource, however traumatic.

It is often our ‘route out’ and, used wisely, will yield great dividends.  While it may seem difficult to do, try viewing your past as a ‘gift’ for your future. It may be easier to accept this once you realise that, in  therapy, we do not have to discuss e very traumatic detail of your past  (for example sexual abuse) and we  devote much of our time  preparing you to be the person you were always meant to be.
